Presenter: Dr. Donald Zillman,

Author and former Dean at the University of Maine Law School

Lecture and Book Signing

Join us as the Wisconsin Veterans Museum welcomes former Dean at the University of Maine Law School for a presentation about the book, Living the World War: A Weekly Exploration of the American Experience in World War I. Zillman and his co-author, Elizabeth Elsbach, drew on the files of the New York Times and the Congressional Record to explore how an average American citizen living in 1916-19 would experience the war, not knowing what would come next. Their week by week summary of the war and emerging national issues at the time demonstrate how history shaped 21st century America.
