Forest Hill Cemetery is home to the gravesites of hundreds of Wisconsin soldiers and citizens who lived during the Civil War. Although these men and women have long since passed away, the individual stories of their courage and perseverance still speak volumes. The public is invited to experience those stories from the perspective of those who lived them as the Wisconsin Veterans Museum continues an annual tradition with “Talking Spirits Cemetery Tour XVII.” The 90-minute tour is guided by local actors portraying Wisconsin Civil War soldiers and citizens. This family-friendly event offers a fun and educational opportunity for attendees to experience the stories and see the gravesites of local Civil War heroes buried at Forest Hill Cemetery.
