Wisconsin Veterans Museum’s Video Receives a Silver Telly
(MADISON) – The Wisconsin Veterans Museum’s promotional video was honored with a Silver Telly Award in the 32nd Annual Telly Awards Competition. The video was shot and directed by Reel Wave Media, a Madison-based video production company. This is their sixth Telly Award.
With the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War upon us, the video was produced for the Wisconsin Veterans Museum Foundation in 2010 to use as a fundraising tool, and to raise awareness for the new programs and exhibits planned over the next four years for the Museum and Foundation. The video is available for viewing at www.wisvetsmuseum.com and on all the Museum’s social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Vimeo).
“The video is a wonderful production and has already borne fruit for the Museum and Foundation. In fact, the video brought in substantial funding for our new exhibit From Paper to Iron: Wisconsin Joins the Civil War, which is set to open July 2, 2011 at the Museum,” said Museum Director Michael Telzrow.
Founded in 1978, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and web commercials, videos and films. A national award, the Telly competition receives over 11,000 entries annually from all 50 states and numerous countries. Less than 10% of entries are chosen to receive a Silver Telly Award, the highest honor.
