70th Anniversary of D-Day Ceremony in The Capitol Rotunda

To commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the D-Day landings at Normandy, which occurred on June 6, 1944, the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs, Wisconsin Honor Flights, and the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association will host a ceremony to recognize and honor the sacrifices of Wisconsin's veterans. 

The honorees include:

1st Sgt. Ray Nelson of Beloit, 401st GIR, 101st Airborne, 325 GIR, 82nd Airborne

Herb Huebschen of Beloit, 325 PIR, 82nd Airborne

Staff Sgt. Gene Strutzenberg of Brodhead, 504 PIR, 82nd Airborne

Staff Sgt. Lawrence "Larry" Michaelis of Madison, 327th GIR, 101st Airborne (veteran of Market Garden and the Battle of the Bulge)
